Spicy mussels

Ingredients:

- 2 lb mussels, cleaned, washed and drained.
-1 medium onion, sliced.
- 2 large garlic cloves, peeled.
- 1 large red hot pepper, seeded.
- ¼ cup parsley leaves.
- ¼ cup lemon juice.
- 1 cup water.
- 1 tbsp ground cumin.
- 1 tsp salt.
- ½ tsp ginger powder
- ½ tsp ground black pepper.
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom.

Directions:
1- Place the onion slices, garlic cloves, parsley leaves, hot pepper, cumin, salt, ginger, black pepper, cardamom, lemon juice and water in the food processor bowl, and chop on high speed until the ingredients become a smooth dough.

2- Pour the seasoning mixture into a large saucepan and leave it on a medium heat while continuing to stir until it becomes starts to boil.

3- Add mussels to the seasoning mixture and stir well, then leave it, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes or until the mussels open and season well.

4- Arrange the mussels in the serving bowl, distribute the remainder of the seasoning mixture, and serve.
