How do you choose your baby's first meal?

The first meals that a baby eats from ordinary food are very important.. because it can give him the elements his body needs during his early stages of development and the beginning of movement and walking.

German nutrition expert, Maria Flotkotter, head of the "Health Your Way to Life" network, stressed the importance of the first meal a baby eats of vegetables, potatoes or meat, as it provides him with essential nutrients, especially iron.

Flotkotter explained that the child loses the entire iron stores he obtained before birth after the first four to six months of his birth.. She warns against increasing milk products such as yogurt or cheese, because they reduce the child's ability to absorb iron in his body.

To recharge the iron stores in the child's body, the German nutrition expert advises mothers to add vegetables rich in vitamin C, such as broccoli and cauliflower, to the infant's first meal, as vitamin C helps the body to absorb iron better.

It is worth noting that the body extracts more iron from red meat than from
vegetables foods.
