Chinese cuisine
Ingredients:
- 250 g
butter.
- 100 g
condensed milk.
- 5 eggs.
- 1 tsp vanilla essence.
- 120 g
sugar.
- 250 g cake
flour.
- ½ tsp baking powder.
Directions:
- Beat egg and sugar
until fluffy and thick.
- Mine looked like this
after beating for a few minutes.
- Sieve flour together
with baking powder into egg mixture and stir well.
- Beat butter, vanilla and
condensed milk until fluffy.
- Add butter mixture
into egg mixture and stir well.
- Divide mixture into
different parts and add colors of your choice, 5 colors altogether including
the original batter.
- Grease and line a
8" round mould. I had used a 6"x6" square mould.
- Spoon over different
colored mixture alternatively until mixture is used up.
- Cover mould with foil.
- Steam for 1 hr 30
minutes, on medium-low heat.
