Korean dipping soy sauce

Ingredients:
- ½ cup soy sauce.
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce.
- ¼ cup rice wine vinegar.
- ¼ cup sugar.
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil.
- ½ tsp ground star anise.
- 1 scallion, thinly sliced.

Directions:
1- Bring both soy sauces, the vinegar, sugar, 2 tbsp water, the sesame oil and star anise to a simmer in a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

2- Cook until thickened slightly, 5 to 7 minutes.

3- Set aside to cool; the sauce will thicken a bit more.
