These is the harms of eating lemons and citrus fruits

All kinds of citrus fruits, especially lemons, contain many beneficial elements for the body, the most important of which is vitamin C. They also contain vitamin B, potassium, magnesium and zinc, and are useful in fighting infections and protecting the body from diseases.

Despite the important benefits of lemon, Dr. Vladimir Zaitsev, in an interview with the Medic Forum website, warned against the unconscious and specific use of lemon and other citrus fruits that can provoke inflammation and tonsillitis.

Zaitsev explained that self-treatment with lemon leads to irritation of the tonsils and subsequent problems in the throat, such as inflammation of the posterior walls of the pharynx, which leads to granulomatous pharyngitis and chronic tonsillitis, which leaves the body in a state of lethargy, fatigue, and intoxication.

Zaitsev mentioned another harm to citrus fruits, as he stressed that citrus fruits can harm people who suffer from stomach sensitivity, as they increase acidity, heartburn, and ulcers, and they also increase the severity of the symptoms of esophageal reflux disease.

Lemon causes skin irritation, sensitivity, and redness in some people, and also causes mouth ulcers.
