Italian Cuisine
Ingredients:
- Fresh lasagna sheets.
- 250 g of spinach.
- 200 g ricotta cheese.
- 1 tsp salt.
- ½ tsp nutmeg.
- 4 tbsp olive oil.
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
tinned.
- 2 tbsp basil, chopped.
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated.
Directions:
- Sauté spinach in 2
tbsp of olive oil.
- Mix it with ricotta,
nutmeg and salt.
- Warm up 2 tbsp of
olive oil, add tomatoes, stir and cook until excess liquid evaporates.
- Season with salt and add
the basil at the end.
- Layer spinach and
cheese mixture in a buttered lasagna ovenproof dish, then the pasta sheets.
Repeat till you run out of spinach and ricotta mixture.
- Layer the top with a
pasta sheet.
- Spread the tomato
sauce and sprinkle grated cheese.
- Bake in the oven (180
c) till cheese starts getting golden.
