The benefits of nigella oil for the skin

The nigella (Nigella Sativa) also called black cumin, false cumin, pepper, black sesame or niello has been used for nearly 2,000 years as a spice and natural remedy in the East, and in particular in Egypt where it is described as "gold of the Pharaohs".

The small seed of this plant should not be confused with caraway and cumin.

Nigella oil is a so-called "vegetable" oil because it is obtained from oilseeds. The amber yellow nigella oil is composed of essential (linoleic) fatty acids.

Applied to the skin, it participates in the reconstitution of lipids. The contribution of such lipids makes it possible to limit water loss from the skin and to provide it with its softening and nutritive qualities.

Its main indications are..

- On problem skin, nigella oil is soothing and purifying, it prevents the formation of small acne pimples, and calms irritation.

- On dermatological problems, nigella oil helps to calm ezcema, psoriasis, and brings its benefits on boils and fungal infections, in addition to other drug treatments.

- On dry and scaly skin, nigella oil is nourishing and regenerating.
